Chagit Moriah-Gibor
As an educator for over a decade, Chagit taught students from different backgrounds and various ages, worked as a teacher in middle and high school, and taught English, History and Jewish studies. She held the positions of vice principal and head of social events and helped set the educational tone to a new school as part of the founding committee. Over the years, she facilitated workshops and professional training for teachers across the state of Israel.
Prior to moving to the US, Chagit worked as Head of Innovation at Jerusalem’s education department, where her team developed and implemented programs to provide teachers with the tools and knowledge to develop innovative pedagogy for their schools and classrooms. Besides launching and running programs encouraging bottom-up innovation in education, organizing hackathons and accelerators, she also coached teams of teachers in hundreds of schools across the city to change the way they teach and learn.
In her current role as Director of Innovation at Denver Jewish Day School, Chagit works with faculty and staff to identify what the future looks like for the school and what can be done to equip students with the skill set and knowledge that will enable them to become successful adults.
Chagit lives in Denver with her husband and three kids.
