Julie Ulstrup

Sometimes it happens immediately.   Other times it’s not until much later when we look back and realize the moment the transformation began. Women, men and children – but mostly women – change the way they see themselves after a session. Tears of joy,  squeals of delight, or a slight gasp as they see images of themselves that are powerful, beautiful, sexy, vulnerable, friendly, approachable; and the list goes on. This is the experience.

What haven’t you seen in a while? What do you want to show the world? What do you want to see in yourself?

As an empowerment photographer Julie helps her clients to see themselves in a way they have never seen themselves before. Her current project, 50 Over 50, she continues this work by inspiring women to celebrate themselves for exactly who and where they are – and where they can and are going.

Her passion is and always has been to empower women, because she knows empowered women make the world a better place.

Born in the City of Angels, raised in the Windy City, Julie now calls the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains home.  It is here that she lives and shares her dream of creating portraits that bring the beauty inside out, allowing others to see themselves in their most authentic and vulnerable light. Julie captures not just an image, but the soul.
